Anti-LGBTQ+ Laws Force Pediatric Cardiologist to Transplant his Family
As fathers to two children, Jake and Tom Kleinmahon know how important it is for their family to be safe. That is why they made the heartbreaking decision to leave Louisiana, one of many states that have passed anti-LGBTQ+ laws. For this project I acted as lead producer, coordinating pre-production and production, as well as acting as editor. This piece was awarded a 2024 Silver w3 Award for General Video-Activism.
Grandparents Support Their Trans Grandkid
These lifelong Republican grandparents have a message of support for all transgender grandkids! After the GOP had begun to ramp up their attacks on transgender people, these grandparents decided enough was enough... and tore up their GOP membership cards and mailed them back. For this project I assisted the Producer by acting as the DP.
The Football Coach Who Served as Advisor for a High School's First Gay-Straight Alliance
LGBTQ+ youth need role models who don’t just preach acceptance and support, but practice it. Gov. Tim Walz has always been there for us and will continue to be when elected as the next Vice President of the United States. For this project I assisted the Producer by acting as the DP.
Advocating at the DC Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ Affairs
Monroe Alise is a tireless advocate for her community in the nation's capital. From working with unhoused youth to helping the trans and gender nonconforming community with job readiness, she has been helping LGBTQ+ folks in the city survive and thrive for decades. For this project I assisted the Producer by acting as the DP.
The Story of Wisconsin's Rainbowland Teacher, Melissa Tempel
Melissa was an elementary school teacher in Wisconsin, who, through the rise in so-called Parents' Rights rhetoric in classrooms, was fired from her job without proper reasoning for teaching her students the song "Rainbowland" by Miley Cyrus and Dolly Parton for a Spring concert. For this project I assisted the Director by acting as the DP and Editor.
HRC Celebrates AANHPI Heritage Month With Artist Patrick Martinez
Filming - In partnership with HRC's Director of Video, we travelled to Los Angeles, CA to Patrick Martinez's art studio. After filming the interview with Patrick, I captured his processes and final works using dynamic filming. Much of that studio footage is used in this piece.

Projects In the Works
In tandem with several of HRC's departments, I have several larger video projects and social campaigns being released soon where I take on more roles as Producer, Videographer, Editor, and Campaign Creator.
